My Family Probate Log

One of my recent challenges has been searching for all my ancestors' probate records, also known as a grants of representation. These are currently available on the government website https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk at £1.50 each for any person who died after 1857. No will is available from this service for any ancestors who died before 1857 (these are marked n/a in my log). As you can see, when I checked everyone on my #62Ancestors list, only three had a probate record: my parents and my grandfather Henry Whitehead. I have to admit that this does not surprise me, given the large number of burials in communal graves which I've found in my graveyard challenge. My family was not a wealthy one.
