Trentham Lock Land Auction

This morning I will be closely watching my auction of the beautiful woodland by Trentham Lock. If you'd like to watch the live auction, you can find it all happening on the BidX1 website. The bidding opens online at 10am and closes at 12:08pm. You can see the bids coming in, and there's an anonymous ID number for each bidder. The scary bit for me is waiting for the first bid. Once bidding has started I can breathe a sigh of relief as we usually only have to go up about 10% to reach the reserve. Bidding can go slowly at first but there's sometimes a sudden flurry of activity, especially towards the end. During the auction I will be chatting away to my colleague Ian at BidX1 on WhatsApp. Ian usually keeps me up to date with some of the activity behind the scenes. We really enjoy watching the auctions together - it's certainly a lot less nerve-wracking when there are two of you! And I'm excited to see who buys it and find out what they plan to do!
