FREE today and tomorrow! The Fiddler and the Composer
When fiddle player Isobel Taylor, in her early fifties, discovers her partner’s betrayal during the Sidmouth Folk Festival, she flees the crowds in shock, only to experience the modern town dissolving around her. In its place stands Regency-era Sidmouth, a tranquil seaside market town. Stranded in 1810 with nothing but her violin, she must navigate a world where a lady violinist is viewed as scandalous.
She finds refuge in the home of Philip Hartley, a thoughtful composer struggling to finish a new violin concerto. United by their love of music, they begin working together, their creative partnership soon deepening into a tender, unexpected romance. For the first time in years, Isobel feels truly seen and truly at home.
But time has already shifted once, and it may do so again without warning. If the strange visions that brought her here return, Isobel could be torn away from the man she has come to love. Faced with an uncertain future, she must decide whether a fleeting happiness in the past is worth the risk of losing everything.
