Barlaston Boatyard - £925,000

Hello! Today I'd love to share with you the 'virtual renovations' I carried out for Barlaston Boatyard this week. When you are selling a house it's really important to remember that the more personal your home is, the harder it is for buyers to see themselves living there. This includes decor, colour schemes, and possessions. Potential buyers have certainly been struggling to imagine how Barlaston Boatyard might look with contemporary styling, so I ordered a virtual makeover for the living room and the kitchen. Here are the amazing before and after images - what a transformation! I have asked my designer to make a couple more tweaks in the living room - they will move the rug and sofa towards the fireplace so there isn't so much bare floor and it looks cosier and fills the space better, and replace the bookcase with a plant. I'll show you the results soon!

Pre-sale changes don't have to be structural, as you can see. In fact they don't even need to be extensive or expensive, but these photos demonstrate beautifully how each step you take towards creating a neutral, decluttered, modern look can broaden the appeal of your property, maximise its value, and suggest that the house is well maintained with little to spend on maintenance and modernisation.
