360° Tour of NB Penny from Heaven on the Ashby Canal
I had the prvilege of doing a 360° tour of a beautiful Norton Canes narrowboat, Penny from Heaven.
Last week I had the prvilege of doing a 360° tour of this beautiful Norton Canes narrowboat which was coming up for sale. It is pretty much my dream boat, with a superb Norton Canes hull, a stunning traditional fit-out by Rob Bryan, a proper boatman's cabin at the stern, and a 60 Gardner 2LW engine. While I was doing the photography I heard a familiar noise - a delightful flock of swans were pecking at the hull. It took me back to when we had Smok and heard this for the first time - it can be quite unnerving, especially when it wakes you up in the small hours and your first thought is that there's a leak and you're sinking!
Penny from Heaven is an absolute show-stopper - and stop we did! My husband and I were treated to coffee and home baked biscuits in the sunshine at her lovely mooring on the Ashby Canal. Feel free to take a look around!
